Throwback.

since i don't have anything particularly interesting or insightful to say right now, i think i'll update the old-fashioned way.

hm today was swell.

i went to work. the morning was interesting because i had a meeting with a website rep where i sat and said absolutely nothing. that's not the interesting part though. the interesting part was my boss ripping this website rep a new one. my boss is an aggressive dude. he's a dead ringer for fit finlay, which is fitting since his style of communication is as blunt and grimy as finlay's wrestling style. i find this excruciatingly irritating when he's talking to me, but when it's directed at someone else, it is pure entertainment. poor rep. she brought us cupcakes too. 

at lunch my former supervisor and i ate at in-n-out. she's not my supervisor anymore since the team we were on was disbanded. i ended up in search marketing while she's kind of just floating around the agency. but we still act like we're a team cause we both share a strong dislike for our new positions. during today's lunch we discussed the genius of zack morris's resurrection on jimmy fallon, as well as the perfect combination of blackness and kung fu that 

culminated in the cinematic masterpiece known as Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon. she's korean, but she's like my ate in advertising cause she shares a lot of her wisdom from her years in the industry while still having the most random things in common with me (e.g. above-average ghettoness, affinity for everything 1990s, growing up asian).

i attended a cool meeting in the afternoon where some guy from the magazine Popular Science came in and presented sweet gadgets that are brand new now but they predict will be the  must-have" technologies of the near future. shit like cameras that can upload pictures/videos instantly by always being connected to an internet signal. it's fun that i need to know stuff like that since i'm supposed to be a media expert for my client.

when i got home, jamil was kind enough to share some korean beef he tried cooking. that guy is my only connection to real, made-from-actual-grocery meals when i'm in LA. if he's not sharing his extra cooking, it's either the freezer or drive-thru for me.

i spent the rest of the night uploading pics from legoland and deciding whether or not i should keep taking my class on how to be a copywriter in advertising. things are leaning toward no right now. it's a very intense debate in my head. 

time to cut my hair now. gotta look clean for the weekend. hopefully my studious girlfriend will find the time to give me a call too. jk. do your thang,

special birthday wish to rosanne! i don't see or talk to her enough, but she's a great friend who i know will always be there if i needed her. hope she's having a good one.
