Sweet lady, would you be my...

korean bbq. sweet lady jane's almond roca chocolate cake and red velvet cupcakes. fn rockin out bro with white folks at the Brass Monkey, a karaoke bar in k-town. it's not paris on a whim, but it's as splendid an anniversary as one could ask for.

and there's more to come this weekend!

my candy bowl is a hit at work. for those that don't know, i stole my dad's idea of keeping a bowl full of mini chocolate goodies at my desk. he does it to be hospitable to his co-workers. i do it so that people have an incentive to stop by my cube and talk to me. i was never good at spontaneously popping into another person's cube to chop it up. i always feel like i'm bothering them or that i have nothing interesting to say. but with some scrumptious snickers on my side, i've always got home-court advantage.

anyway, i've seen a lot of sorry stashes of candy on people's desks before. sooner or later, people stop coming for the candy cause the stash starts to look crusty. to avoid that and keep my fellow co-workers' fiendin', here are some tips for candy bowl keeping:
1. keep it full. no one wants to take the last or 2nd-to last mr. goodbar. and if they walk away now, they may never come back again. use a small bowl to make this part easier.(this is easy for me cause my dad be hookin' it up with bags from the commisary every week).
2. variety is good. i noticed it catches the average passerby's eyes when they see reese's peanut butter cups when they could've sworn that it was baby ruths all week.
3. throw out the crusty shit. there's no bigger turnoff to a potential candy bowl picker than seeing christmas crunch bars in june.
4. place the bowl behind you or somewhere where people can access it without bothering you. you'll get a few driveby grabbers who don't even say what's up, but they'll stop and talk to you eventually. plus, your ass has to get some work done too and don't want to see every little chocolate addict out of the corner of your eye all day.

yeah, don't know how i got to talking about that, but that's how quiet guys gotta get some interaction jackson at work.
