i had a "bigger picture" conversation with my boss today about my future at the agency. around march is when the agency structures what teams will have what positions in the coming year, and i told my boss i wanted to be considered for a job on another team should they have an opening that fits my experience.
(for those who recall, i currently work mostly on the numbers-til-i'm numb bone dry work of search engine marketing. i'm now requesting to go back to work on the less numbersy, sexier work of banner advertising. i'll elaborate more on my reasons why if i ever make it back to this kind of work.)
all day i was terrified that my boss's reaction would be like "screw you, kid." but he was supportive and complimented me on my taking the initiative to let people know where i want to be.
next, i need to set aside time to talk with the head of my department. to be continued...
happy 3-year + 7-months monthiversary to me and the awesome and inspiring katrina marie. tonight we had some sam woo and some peet's, and she hwhooped my ayass in Tap Tap on the iphone. but it's cool, i still dominate in games that simulate real athletic activity (e.g. wii tennis, super shot at d&b). so my manhood is preserved. just want her to know that even though i am superior in athletic skill, i love her dearly.
