wednesday, katrina and i ate at this korean bbq place called Sanya in koreatown. the food tasted just like any other AYCE korean joint, but here's the best part: the AYCE is $9.99!!!
thursday, my roommates and i went to the california chicken cafe. the most healthy, decent-tasting meal in LA. always sure satisfaction when we go there.
friday, justin and i attended a comedy show at katrina's work. there was some pretty funny stuff, but the most memorable part of the night was a surprise appearance by ron jeremy. i've lived in LA a long time and have come in close contact with a few celebs here and there, but no one as iconic to their industry as this guy. afterwards, we ate at pete's cafe in downtown LA. they had some intensely flavored blue cheese fries. they're really worth trying if you love fries with toppings.
saturday, it was a BCF double-date + katrina's friend mikee. we got real LAish by going to father's office (often called the best burger in LA) and urth cafe (featured a couple times on entourage). can't wait for more of those outings.
sunday, gordon cooked up some gourmet burgers and we watched the grammys. the burgers were delish and very comparable to father's office, and there's no better dessert than getting to see performances by maxwell then drake. take that metaphor however you want to.
monday, after years of seeing humorous commercials about this fast food joint i've never even seen in real life, i finally ate at a sonic burger. there's now one by katrina's house. the food was nothing special. the only excitement is getting served in your car by high school kids on roller skates. i guess that's what it was like in the 50's, except colored people are allowed to eat at sonic.
i've only listed the food because that's all that changed from day-to-day. one thing that stayed the same was good company throughout. from the BCF and BCFG to ucla and from roommates to me fair lady katrina marie, it was all time well spent. plus the bonus of getting to watch marc sleep for hours without him knowing last night, it's been grand.
